Week 14: Notebook LM: Week March 31st – April 5th, 2025

March 31st – April 5th, 2025

Welcome to week 14 of mixed media artist, I Eastland’s creative journal.

I have continued editing my novel Josephine Marlin this week, though I’m still in recovery. Despite the slow pace, a lot of creative energy surfaced across mediums—especially music, video, and digital tools.

Monday, March 31st

A quiet start to the week. Still healing, but slowly making progress on Josephine Marlin. My editing rhythm is gradually returning, though it's patchy. Took a moment to review wmye I left off last week and prepared some outlines for the next chapters.

Tuesday, April 1st

Explored some new tools today—Mind Studio caught my attention. I’ve started looking into its AI-assisted possibilities for future creative work. I’m also still toying with the idea of Eleven Labs for voice cloning, given my quiet voice and Aussie twang. It might be the thing to help me get more comfortable producing spoken content.

Big news on the AI front:
🥳 I gained access to  including Whisk and VideoFX—which made me very happy.
Updates came in hot this week:

IdeogramAI v3.0

Gemini 2.5o

Suno has a new layout (undecided about that one)

KlingAI has been great for generating 16:9 video, and Krea AI helped me produce some crisp 720p footage.

I’ve also been using NotebookLM for crafting this week’s podcast episodes and, ChatGPT to edit each weeks podcast.

Thursday, April 3rd

Final mixing and upload for the latest Valhalla album track, titled:
🎵 ODIN’S WISDOM
▶️

Inspired by the sacrifices Odin made for knowledge, this black metal anthem explores the power, pain, and price of divine wisdom. It’s haunting, intense, and spiritual—just like the lore.

Friday, April 4th

Released a powerful new anthem for the Revolution album:
🎶 Takin' Back the Reins
▶️

It’s a gritty song of survival and personal power—about clawing back a life taken over by trauma and noise. One for anyone who’s wrestled themselves free from the darkness. This one hits deep.

Saturday, April 5th

This was the surprise of the week!

Wrote and released a satirical Aussie folk song:
🎸 Not the Actions of a Friend (But Those of a Foe)
▶️

A cheeky, 1980s-inspired pub anthem about the recent US tariffs, the ever-confused discussion of Australia’s GST, and a healthy dose of political ribbing. With lines like "Foot and Mouth ain't the thing you say at dinner," and "We patch up the Holden with duct tape and prayer," this one’s a true blue strummer with grit and wit.
