My Writerly Self - Week 9 - Notebook LM

Karen Eastland Podcast

Monday, November 24th

Today, I revisited and re-edited episodes one and two of The Adventures of Millie and Sandra: Season One. Originally standalone stories for writing challenges, these episodes have evolved into a serialised narrative over four years. I added foreshadowing and enriched character details, expanding their arcs for continuity as the series grew organically.

Tuesday, November 25th

Episode three of The Adventures of Millie and Sandra underwent a thorough revision, focusing on setting and description. I clarified the locales of Aunt Millie (Launceston) and the twins (Mowbray, Tasmania), ensuring readers familiar with Tasmania could connect with the story. A creative highlight was merging images in GIMP to craft a book cover featuring the Slenderman—a result of experimenting with Ideogram AI and inpainting.

Wednesday, November 26th

A productive day where I finalised and released my song Touch of Love, created using Suno V4 for music and vocals. I also tightened episodes three and four of Millie and Sandra, removing verbose descriptions and ensuring smooth transitions in the twins’ growth as witches.

Thursday, November 27th

Creative momentum continued with the production of Christmas songs using Suno V4, aimed at releasing one per day in December. The songs reflect Australian cultural nuances, blending hard rock, metal, and grunge. I also developed a Christmas love ballad and brainstormed children’s songs to complement my Grandma Claus YouTube channel content.

Friday, November 28th

A relaxed day spent playing with song lyrics and exploring Australian cultural pockets for inspiration. With past themes covering surfing, hooning, and backyard BBQs, I sought new ideas for Christmas songs. My ongoing Sin-Eater series inspired one such track, drawing from the town of Reachville's lore, which I’ve been building since 2018.

Saturday, November 29th

I focused on consolidating this week’s journal for a podcast and article on my websites. The day involved updating journals, creating accompanying images using Ideogram, and preparing descriptions with AI assistance. Once complete, these updates would enrich my creative portfolio across platforms.
