My Writerly Self - Week 8 - Notebook LM

Weekly Summary:

This week has been an energetic blend of creative output and refining previous work. I focused on creating and producing songs for various projects, including a children’s Christmas-themed YouTube channel and my AI band, Urbanetics. Alongside music, I dedicated significant time to editing serialised stories, including The Adventures of Millie and Sandra and Pentag Origins from the Sin-Eater series. I also navigated some challenges with an AI voice service and wrapped up the week by writing a new love song. Below is a detailed journal capturing each day's progress.

Monday, 18th November

I composed Gotta Get To The Billabong for my AI band, Urbanetics. This song, featuring a unique Australian flavour, is set for release on the 4th of December.

Tuesday, 19th November

I wrote a playful Christmas song titled Cranzoo! A Very Hairy Reachville Christmas. Drawing inspiration from my urban fantasy world of Reachville, the song embodies the quirky term 'Cranzoo,' which I coined in my Sin-Eater series. It reflects surprise and whimsy.

I also created an album cover for this fantasy-inspired song using Ideogram AI. The track is scheduled for release on the 5th of December.

On the technical front, I explored LoudMe AI for voice synthesis. Unfortunately, due to a flawed update that limited voice customisation, I requested and received a refund. The tool currently doesn’t meet my creative needs for unique voices and personalised music.

Wednesday, 20th November

Focusing on my Grandma Claus children's YouTube channel, I wrote A Very Rocky Christmas. This song introduces characters like Rocky the Cat, Young Frank (a small ginger kitten), and Marly (a little white mouse).

I have been crafting cartoon visuals to accompany the song, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for children. Using DaVinci Resolve, I synchronised these images with the lyrics. The song is set for release on the 3rd of December.

This week, I completed five Christmas-themed songs, planning a release schedule of one song daily throughout December.

Thursday, 21st November

Editing took precedence today as I polished The Adventures of Millie and Sandra: Season One. This story will soon be part of a box set collection in time for Christmas. For now, the unedited serial can be read on my blog, writingurban.com.

Friday, 22nd November

I continued editing The Adventures of Millie and Sandra: Season One. Alongside this, I revisited edits for the episodic serial Josephine and Jason and Pentag Origins, a foundational story for the Sin-Eater series.

Saturday, 23rd November

Though I intended to take the day off, creativity called. I worked further on editing Millie and Sandra. Additionally, I wrote a love song to maintain my schedule of releasing a new song every five days. The song has already been processed using Suno V4 AI, marking it ready for release.
