Welcome to Week 6: AI and Artistic Experimentation
This week, I immersed myself in AI-driven creativity, testing new tools and refining my songwriting process. My biggest experiment? Testing Deep Seek (Zeek) for lyric generation, rather than my usual go-to, ChatGPT’s Sol.
Monday: Experimenting with Deep Seek (Zeek)
- Began my 12-week AI reflection series, revisiting my creative journey since launching My Writerly Self in 2024.
- Tested Deep Seek (Zeek) by feeding it my short story Lake of Tears. The AI generated lyrics for Clawing from the Deep, which I later refined.
Tuesday: Podcast Production & AI Hosts
- Created Episode 2 of my 12-week reflection series, using DaVinci Resolve for editing.
- Introduced my AI hosts Larry and Louise, named after my twin black cats.
- Used Gimp to overlay text corrections on the AI-generated script.
Wednesday: More AI Music & Video Editing
- Breaking the Surface was born! Using Deep Seek, I generated lyrics that fit the dark grunge/metal themes of Cassidy and The Castoffs.
- Started working on the next six episodes of my podcast series to ensure a steady release schedule.
Thursday: Almost a Day Off… Almost!
- Prepared Episode 4 of my 12-week AI reflection.
- Updated YouTube descriptions for my upcoming song releases in Songs for the Goddess, set to launch February 12.
Friday: One More Song & AI Limitations
- Deep Seek (Zeek) created Rise from the Ashes, but I ran into compute power issues when trying to generate more lyrics.
- Tested Google Labs ImageFX for AI-assisted visuals. Verdict? Great for realism, but not quite as reliable for text-based album covers.
Looking Ahead
February will be all about refining my songwriting and AI integration while preparing for novel edits. My biggest takeaway this week? AI is evolving fast, but it still has limitations.
For now, I’ll keep experimenting, refining, and documenting my findings.
